Taco Ranch Sauce Recipe - Low Carb Keto

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes

I love this recipe because it's ZERO carb. That's right, ZERO. You can have as much as you want, and you can use it for salads or dipping or whatever you want. You can even swap spices to use it in different ways - it's very versatile.

So I'll start by saying this taco ranch sauce base is made with just mayo and red wine vinegar. You can use ANY mayo you want, but we prefer and will always recommend the one we believe tastes better than any other "Duke's Mayo". I hope they have it at a store near you.

Next I will say don't try to cheat on this recipe and use a packet of taco seasoning. Sorry - nearly all of those have CARBS because they have corn starch or some kind of filler. Always use real spices and never packets with added preservatives.

Last always add your spices a little at a time. Maybe you don't like things as spicy as some people. You can always make more - but you can never take it back once it's in there! Last this recipe has 1 tsp monkfruit sweetener which may seem weird, but read the label on every mild taco sauce or taco ranch sauce - they all have added sugars for taste!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Duke's mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or MCT oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp monk fruit blend sweetener
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp ground cumin (or to taste)
  • 2 tsp chili powder (or to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • dash of hot sauce or cayenne if you're really adventurous

Notes

If this recipe seems a little tart when you're done try adding a tiny bit more of salt or sweetener. Add sparingly - we kept adding chili powder and cumin until we got the flavor we wanted.
